It is the application of scientific and engineering principles to the processing of materials by biological agents to provide goods and service. Biotechnology is the most up growing area of science and technology in the present scenario of research and development as well as employment, which can fulfil the need to face the challenging task of 21st century. Biotechnology offers great opportunities in various industries like agricultural, pharmaceuticals, chemical, fermentation industries etc.

N.B : For food, students have to pay the amount for 10 months in an year. Food includes breakfast, lunch, Tiffin and dinner. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances. Students seeking transfer certificate or withdrawal of names from the roll must pay fees up to date. The caution money deposited by a student may be refunded after the completion of studies.
Students are admitted on the basis of previous academic records. Direct admission in B.Sc Honours courses is going on.
